This post is just to share with you some of my favourite baby products. You might also be interested in my natural-pain-relief-for-kids post. I don’t use Calpol or Nurofen but listed are some great alternatives with direct links to Amazon.
So… what are my must haves?
These are great! They don’t contain any nasty chemicals, they quite literally are WATER wipes.
- Contains 99.9% water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract
Who doesn’t love a product that is exactly what it says it is? Some other wipes claim to be suitable for sensitive skin but actually aren’t.
2. Nanny Care Goats Formula.
There is nothing better than breastmilk, BUT if like me your milk supply stopped- despite your best efforts, then this is great because it is based on goats milk rather than cows milk – like most mainstream formula brands. Goats milk is more similar to breast milk and some say that it is more easily digested. Most people with dairy intolerances are find to consume goats milk, but please do your own research on this. Find out more by clicking the main link. See benefits:
- Is an excellent source of high quality, readily digestible proteins.
- Forms looser, softer and more porous curds in the baby’s stomach.
(This is particularly helpful to the baby’s delicate developing digestive system.)
- Has a casein profile which is closer to human milk (than cow’s milk).
- Has high levels of medium-chain fatty acids.
- Has high levels of nucleotides
Goats are also more particular about what they eat compared to cows. They eat natural foods and therefore have a better diet.
Purchase Nanny Care Milk here! It’s cheaper than Amazon if you buy in bulk!
3. Weleda Nappy Rash Cream.
This is a great alternative to some of the main brands. It contains natural (plant based) essential oils that have been used for centuries. These oils promote the circulation and metabolic functions of the skin and its tissues- so skin heals quickly. I also use a little of this for dry skin. See benefits:
- Certified Natural Baby Care
- For Delicate Skin
- Calms irritated Skin
- Reduces redeness
- Supports skin regeneration
4. Ashton & Parsons Teething Powder.
These sashes are in the form of powder. It is a herbal product traditionally used in infants for the relief of pain caused from teething. They contain tincture of Matricaria which is extracted from German Chamomille flowers. This product has been around for nearly 60 years and is really effective for mild teething.
5. Weleda Teething Granuals.
These granuals are suitable from birth and provide relief from teething and colic pain. They are pretty tasteless and are simply dissolved in water. They are gluten free and won’t cause problems for lactose-intolerant infants.
6. Nelsons Teething Gel.
This is a really good gel that provides pretty much instant relief for teething. The key ingredients are Chamomilla 12c, Belladonna 12c and Aconite 12c.
7. Arbonne Baby Suncream.
You will notice that there is a sun hat on this picture. As a general rule, I don’t apply suncream, but sometimes (even though it doesn’t seem like it now because the sun has vanished!) it is necessary as an extra precaution. I really avoid using creams and such on the skin but if I felt like I had to use a suncream, then I’d go for this.

Other great alternatives…
Teething – ‘Bicky Pegs’ but I find that tough carrot sticks do the same thing.
Teething – Cold flannel or a thin strip of flannel that has been frozen.
